Okay.. Shes was a founding member (debatable) of the original Birds of prey (as well as a regular helper).
She was the Leading Gotham city siren.
Even an Outsider for a little while.
But this by far the biggest team placement shes ever had.
This is a milestone for Selina. And while her being a member on JLA with her independent qualities and personality may seem like an odd choice. This is mightly exciting!!

She's a human with no special abilities other than thieving and the JLA has no shortage of people who could do that better.
I like the Catwoman character, but I think it's a stretch when you take a low level love interest like Selina and put her on the A Team.
Might as well put Aunt May on the Avengers.
At least Batman is a borderline psychopath with martial training, technology and wealth on top of being a brilliant strategist.
Selina has more history and background than ANY member of the JLA with the exception of Batman and Superman.
She came before wonder woman, flash, green lantern, spiderman or any of your avengers.
If you knew SOMETHING about her, youd know she IS the DCs greatest master thief. Confirmed numerous times by bascally every character that has crossed paths with and of course the staff and creative teams at DC. Period.
A world class Martial artist trained by 3 of batmans masters (Ted Grant "the wildcat", The Armless Master and Richard Dragon).
An above olympic level acrobat-gymnast on the same level as Dick Grayson.
Not to mention all the other qualities she has under her arsenal: Animal empathy, weapon master, strategist, endurance, speed, etc.
Funny, Ive never seen Aunt may get her own title comic, mini series, hardcover special, her own movie, video game, monthly statue, numerous action figures, animated shorts and substancial appereances as well as countless merchandise (posters, bags, plushies, card sets, t shirts, halloween costumes, etc.
Not to mention she is one of the most fan favorite characters who has the honor of being showcased on fan films, fan fics and fan arts more than anyother comic book female character.
