Okay the animation on this is Great! But why must the lines be all scruffy? Guess Im being picky..
Notice how Bane is practically an ape here? The movements are very well achieved. If only we could get these animators to use better styles and designs hmmp!
The animation is done by Wolf Smoke Studio in Shanghai, China. The scruffy lines are their signature style, as seen in a previous short they did called Kung Fu Cooking Girls [link] . I personally like the style, but I can see how not everybody would. I think the scratchy linework gives the action scenes and extra sense of aggression. It's cool to see them working on some DC shorts. I like Wolf Smoke, but I didn't know these existed until I read your post. Thanks!
The skritchy art style is intentional, and is intended to evoke classical Chinese paintwork, along with the paint smear action lines. Another similarly styled show was Jackie Chan Adventures, which was excellent.
I really like this. the only downside I saw(which could just be the way it was recorded) is that the animation and linewirk could use some cleaning up. All in all I think this has the potential to be the best batman cartoon series since Batman T.A.S.
Did you mean, "The links no longer work"?
Actually I was aware of the creative team behind these shorts. Juts didnt like the style
